More than just a job, Nova Arts Artists Academy is an educational career experience, representing an evolution of the community and industry into a new collective.

The days are behind us of salon assistants getting boxed into a corner. Whether you are just beginning your career, or you are an established artist seeking to advance yourself in a new environment - you will have options to grow with our team through our Artist Academy Program.

Regardless of where you are at in your career, we will encourage you to elevate yourself in new ways to achieve your goals.

ACADEMY STRUCTURE:

This is a paid training and development program. We wanted to create a program that was clearly defined the goals in order to elevate our Artists to develop their craft. Our Academy is broken down into Three Phases, each with flexibly designed to tailor the course to each individual’s prior experience.

Though there is flexibility, expect the program to last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years based on your individual experience, initiative, and growth development.

Phase One:

COMMUNITY: This is your foundation with Nova Arts Salon. You will immerse yourself within the culture, all the while learning our protocols, shampoo and blowdry techniques, as well as assist our senior cut and color artists.

Phase Two:

TRANSFORMATION: This is your chance to shine. As Nova Arts Salon sees your growth and development, you will be given an opportunity day schedule to begin bringing in your own clients. You will have the support of the team as you build your chair, learn social media and photography tips, and gain confidence behind the chair.

Phase Three:

SUSTAINABILITY: We believe all of our artists to be teachers and mentors with their own unique voice and talents. As your chair begins to grow, you will be rewarded by continuing to add more days behind the chair as you train and develop the junior artists who began their course after you. At this phase, you will be promoted through our social channels and website until you are able to sustain yourself as full-time senior artist behind the chair.
